What is Park Mode?

Park mode places the Dash Cam into a state of standby, which can be activated if the vehicle is impacted whilst parked.

Recordings in Park Mode will be saved in a designated Parking folder.

What happens when my SD card becomes full?

The OE Witness Dash Cam has a loop recording facility which will overwrite the oldest recordings once the SD card becomes full.

Will installing the OEWitness Dash Cam affect my onboard sensors and electronics?

The OE Witness Dash Cam has been extensively tested in all makes and models to ensure all the original onboard sensors and electronics remain and fully functional.

Will the colour match my existing interior colour?

The OE Witness Dash cam is manufactured from the finest materials with a colour match guarantee.

Do I need a rear camera?

All systems have the option at the customers discretion of adding a rear recording camera, giving the end user the peace of mind of recording coverage from the rear of the car.

Should I upgrade my SD Card?

The OE Witness Dash cam System is supplied with 64GB MicroSD card as standard. The system can support up to a maximum of 128GB. If using a front and rear system we recommend upgrading to 128GB memory for longer recording for both the front and rear cameras.

Do I need to connect my smartphone to the dash cam for it to record?

There is no requirement for the end user to have a connection to the dash cam from their smartphone. The system will record all journeys and only requires connection to the smartphone to adjust settings or retrieve any recordings.

Do I need to press the power button on the dash cam every time to turn it ON?

The OE Witness Dash Cam will automatically power up when the vehicle is powered ON and will shut down when the car is powered OFF and locked.

How do I set the time and date on the OE Witness Dash Cam?

The OE Witness Dash Cam once installed requires a connection to the smartphone via the dedicated app to allow the camera to sync the time and date. Once synced it will keep the time and date settings. If the vehicles battery runs low or flat it may be necessary to connect to the smartphone app to sync the date and time.
